GENERAL MANAGER

VINNY BOHN
Bohn will serve as the Peppers’ first general manager in team history and brings a playing and coaching background that stretches back over a decade and a half. Bohn began his coaching career with the Topeka Roadrunners (NAHL) in 2015 and has since served as an assistant coach for the El Paso Rhinos (WSHL/NA3HL), Cedar Rapids Roughriders (USHL), and an assistant coach/general manager for the New Mexico Ice Wolves (NAHL). Passionate about mentorship and athlete advancement, Bohn has also served as a coach and mentor with the Nashville Jr. Predators 18UAAA program and as part of TPH Academy Nashville.
During his playing career, Bohn spent four seasons with Green Mountain, Granite City, and the El Paso Rhinos before earning a commitment to play collegiate hockey at Worcester State University (NCAA DIII). Bohn played for four seasons and wore an “A” in his final collegiate season.
HEAD COACH

Chris Wilhite
Wilhite enters his first season as the head coach of the Peppers after spending the previous seven seasons as the coach of the Pueblo Bulls.
In Wilhite’s seven seasons in charge of the Bulls, the team made five playoff appearances and helped over 50 players earn college scholarships to the NCAA Division I and Division III levels with some alumni now in their professional careers across the Europe and the United States. As a player, Wilhite spent four seasons (’10-14) with the El Paso Rhinos and is tied for fifth all-time in franchise history in games (144) and second all-time among defenseman in points (121). Wilhite won a Thorne Cup championship in the 2013-14 season before accepting a college commitment to St. Mary’s University (MN).
Wilhite played three seasons for St. Mary’s University and graduated with his B.A. in Marketing.
ASSociate head COACH

david nelson
Nelson enters his first season as the associate head coach of the Peppers after spending the previous seven seasons as the coach of the Pueblo Bulls.
Nelson played three seasons of junior hockey with the El Paso Rhinos (’11-14) and finished his career sixth all-time in franchise scoring (139 points) and won a Thorne Cup championship during the 2013-14 season.
Nelson graduated from St. Mary’s University with a B.A. in Business Management.
DIRECTOR OF SCOUTING/GOALIE COACH

Marty wakelyn
Wakelyn enters his first season with the Peppers after spending the previous three seasons as the scouting director, play-by-play broadcaster, and goaltending coach for the Pueblo Bulls.
In his time as the goaltending coach, Wakelyn worked with multiple goaltenders to help them earn NCAA Division I, NCAA Division III scholarships, or help them transition to professional hockey in Europe.
Originally from British Columbia, Wakelyn was a four-year starting goaltender for Colorado College (NCAA) and is 7th all-time in games played for the Tigers. After graduating, Wakelyn signed with the New York Islanders and spent two seasons with the organization before retiring from hockey.
