The Pueblo Peppers are proud to announce their leadership group for the 2026-27 season in defenseman Marcus Jackson as team captain and defenseman Nathaniel Hart and forward Michael Mathison.
Jackson (‘06/Lakeville, MN) wears the “C”as the first captain in the team’s chapter in Pueblo and the defenseman will be a captain for the first time in his career. The 6’2, 180-lb blueliner has been a force for Pueblo throughout his career with 49 points (9-40-49) in 102 career games in his first two junior hockey seasons.
Fellow defenseman Hart (‘07/Nashville, TN) is one of the alternate captains and is a 20 year-old like Jackson. The defenseman made his NAHL and junior hockey debut last season with Lone Star in six games before finding his niche with eight points (3-5-8) in 27 games in Chippewa during his rookie season.
Mathison (‘07/Fargo, ND) is a seasoned NAHL veteran entering his third season in the league. The winger split the 2025-26 campaign with Philadelphia and Chippewa while registering 11 points (6-5-11) in 47 games and his 87 career NAHL games across two seasons is the second-most of any Pepper on the Opening Day roster.
